Getting Started with PTEU

Welcome to the Periodic Table of Elements Ultra (PTEU), the world's most comprehensive interactive periodic table available in 46 languages. This guide will help you get started with the basic features.

Basic Navigation

  1. Selecting an Element: Click on any element in the periodic table to view its detailed properties.
  2. Changing Views: Use the tabs at the top of the page to switch between different views:
    • Properties: View basic element properties
    • Electron Configuration: Explore electron shell arrangements
    • Orbitals: View 3D orbital visualizations
    • Isotopes: Explore element isotopes and decay chains
    • Compounds: Mix elements to create compounds
  3. Changing Language: Click the language selector in the footer to choose from 46 available languages.

Advanced Features

Using the Compound Mixer

  1. Accessing the Mixer: Click the "Compounds" tab at the top of the page.
  2. Creating Compounds: Click on elements in the periodic table to add them to the mixer.
  3. Adjusting Ratios: Use the + and - buttons to adjust the ratio of each element.
  4. Viewing Results: The compound formula and properties will display automatically.

Exploring Isotopes

  1. Accessing Isotopes: Select an element, then click the "Isotopes" tab.

Installing PTEU as a PWA

  1. Chrome/Edge (Desktop): Click the install icon (+) in the address bar.

  3. Chrome (Android): Tap the menu button, then "Add to Home Screen."

Using PTEU Offline

Once installed as a PWA or cached in your browser, PTEU can be used without an internet connection. All element data, properties, and visualizations will be available offline.
